Allison Deputy's BIOGRAPHY

Allison is the owner of MoonWillow a writer, artist and Tai Chi instructor with a BA in English and creative writing. Her Tai Chi experience began in 1991, when she was suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and chronic anxiety. The ancient, Chinese health exercise gave her more natural and effective tools to eventually cure her conditions. She now enjoys teaching and lecturing on Tai Chi and various topics related to well-being all over Chicagoland at colleges, hospitals, fitness centers, churches and secondary schools.

Her integrative studies have included Jungian psychology, the Human Energy Field, dream analysis, developing intuition, meditation, and creative therapy in writing, art, and dance. She has published fiction, non-fiction and poetry since 1986, and was featured in the book, Mentoring Heroes, by Mary K. Doyle (3E Press, 2000). Inspired by the works of Caroline Myss, Barbara Brennan, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, and Julia Cameron, Allison is now combining all of her interests and experience into comprehensive programs of self development under the auspices of MoonWillow Personal Arts.
